As part of our community engagement, the Emergency Canteen Unit and Providence Christian Academy have been approved to be in the Give Local Piedmont campaign. This is an opportunity for local citizens and businesses to support nonprofits, and have a portion of the funds matched by the PATH Foundation. Although giving is open now, the big one-day push is for donations to come in on Tuesday May 13th. Just click the button below to donate to the Canteen, PCA, and other non-profits. We're encouraging people to donate, ask their employers to match their gifts, and spread the word to other businesses who may want to contribute. Together, let’s help invest in our community!

This special evening honors our police, fire department, and all first responders, and demonstrates that we are a church that supports them. On Tuesday, May 13th 6 to 7pm there will be a time of worship, as well as prayer for protection and blessing in the coming year, followed by a light reception. All community members are welcome, and we especially encourage you to come to show your personal support by attending this event.

Providence Christian Academy is a ministry expression of The Bridge Community Church directed towards the overall Christian community for the purpose of providing a Christian education for their children. We’re excited to announce that Providence Christian Academy is now hiring for a variety of positions ahead of the Fall semester. We are hiring teachers for: High School, Middle School, Elementary School, Substitutes, and more. The positions available are located on PCA’s website at pcalions.org/employment.

Women ages 13 and up, join us on Friday, May 16th at 7pm for a fun night of crafts, games, snacks, and great memories. HER Ministry is hosting their 2nd ladies night of the year. It’s the perfect night to bring a friend and simply hang out with some awesome women of The Bridge. Come as you are and we’ll have a great time!

Church, join us as we help support the Culpeper pregnancy center, as well as our Foster the Family parents. On Sunday, you can pick up a baby bottle at the welcome center to fill with cash or a check. We have 75 bottles to fill as a church, and those are due back on May 18th! For our foster parents, we are collecting diapers (of any size!). Often little ones will arrive at a new foster family home with only the clothes on their backs, so this helps them to provide for these children in those crucial first few days. These again, are due on Sunday, May 18th. Thank you for your support and helping meet these tangible needs!

We’re excited to announce a missions trip from November 1st to the 8th in the nation of El Salvador. They’ll work with an Assemblies of God church to build a retaining wall and install drainage systems at the property, as well as minister to some local women and children. The cost of the trip is $1,500 and there are 17 spots available. Just email missions@bridge4life.com if you’re interested in going! Our first men’s cookout of the year is coming up soon! Save the date for Sunday, June 1st at 3pm. We’ll be down at the church office throughout the afternoon for a time of great food. Some serious bragging rights are at stake for the winners of our traditional cornhole tournament. Plan to bring a friend and we’ll see you there.
