Our Story
From the early stages of our founding, we knew God would give us a story for His glory. We knew that all things would work together for His good. And they have! We have recorded in the annals of The Bridge Community Church one miracle after another of the birth, growth, and establishment of this church and its people. By God’s grace, this story continues with His glory visibly present.
The Bridge started as a whisper in the hearts of Pastor Mark, our founder, and Pastor Scott, from Manassas Assembly of God (MAG). Beginning in the fall of 2004, this whisper steadily became a vision and a dream. Faith grew as MAG fed the fledgling church with finances and people. The dream took root! However, finding a home for our young church proved quite the challenge. After a series of closed doors, we finally found grace and favor from the Highland School’s administration and on April 17, 2005, The Bridge held its first service at Rice Theater, The Center for the Arts.
On March 18, 2007, with The Bridge being nearly two years old, we obtained enough spiritual leadership, maturity, and financial stability to become self-governing and self-directed setting in place our own Bylaws, Board of Elders, and Board of Administration. Throughout 2008 and 2009, our leadership diligently sought for property within Fauquier County from which the ministry of The Bridge would continue to grow and find a place of permanence. After a journey of perseverance and a series of divine events, The Bridge purchased 35-acres of property debt free!
As the years progress, we continue to gain unprecedented momentum in individual and corporate growth, ministry, outreach, and leadership. People of all ages are making a connection with God, people, and our community. People are finding a spiritual home, being touched and transformed by the power of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit; being saved, healed and set free from life controlling issues. Further, our walls have never been confining. The Bridge is poised to impact Fauquier County and beyond as more families and individuals are being reached; more Christians are finding their place of connection and involvement here.
Our growth is a testimony of the spiritual need; it is a testimony of God’s desire to meet that need. He first inspired a vision in the heart of our founder. He, then, brought the people to fulfill the vision. Now, He has provided the land on which His Light will shine as on a hill. Church facilities will be erected as a hub for ministries both on campus and off site. The story is still being written and the best days are still ahead of us! Join us for the journey!
